The 3rd Annual Strut Your Mutt: A Casual 5K hosted by Blue Ridge Humane SocietyWTZQ Radio and Historic Downtown Hendersonville returns with a twist on Saturday, October 31, 2020!

Strut Your Mutt goes virtual! The entire course for the 5K and 1 Mile will be marked for you to run or walk starting on Saturday, October 31 and will remain marked until November 8, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful scenery and routes. You’ll also have the option of completing your 5K or 1 mile on any route you choose and submitting your time. At the end of the submission period our overall winners will be announced and receive their prizes, as well as some extra fun things that will be announced closer to the event!

All participants receive a pet-friendly swag bag. Registration deadline for guaranteed race t-shirt is October 8 , 2020. Online registration will close Friday, October 30. Racer t-shirts and bags will be available for local pickup the week following the race.

How it works:

Between Saturday, Oct 31 and Sunday, Nov 8 complete the distance you are registered for, then enter your time to the virtual result listing. If you don’t want to put a time in but mark that you completed the event, that’s ok too! Only results with times will be considered for our overall prizes however. Submit your result here by clicking “Results,” then “Submit Virtual Results” and entering your info to pull up your registration and post your time.

Race Bag and Prize Pick-Up
After the results have been tallied you can pick up your race swag and any prizes during our pickup days on Thursday, November 12, 1pm-4pm at the new Hunter Subaru location at 220 Hunter Airport Drive, Fletcher, NC, or Friday, November 13, 9am-12pm at the BRHS Admin Office at 14 Towne Place Drive, Suite 130, Hendersonville.   Feel free to bring your well behaved pup to check out the new dog park at Hunter Subaru as well!

If you need an idea of a course to use for the 5K or 1 mile, the courses will be marked starting from the Historic Depot on Maple Street. The 5K is following the BLUE arrows and the 1 mile is following the ORANGE arrows.

You can also complete your distance at your favorite park, neighborhood or other trails!

The Hendersonville Farmers Market takes place on Maple Street each Saturday, 8am-1pm so be aware for parking and planning, or maybe make it a part of your race day!
