Our Photo Contest Winners!

Bean was an owner surrender in Rutherford County, who was picked up by the Blue Ridge Humane Society. I had been looking for my first dog, but wanted to wait until I made a little bit more money to be able to support my pet. The day I was offered my current job, Bean was brought into the BRHS and as soon as I saw her photo I fell in love. She was a silly little 3 month old pup at the time. She’d fall asleep in public, but now had a mission to say hello to everyone she meets. She has a deep love for kiddos and is incredibly playful with my nephews. She’s a happy hyper pup during the day and a little snuggle bug at night. I feel lucky every day to have her with me on this journey.

We asked for you rescue stories and boy did you deliver! Thank you to all those you entered our “You Can’t Buy Love But You Can Rescue It” Photo Contest! We are overwhelmed with the amount of loving stories and heartfelt pictures we received from you all.. Thank you to all who entered as well as Wag! A Unique Pet Boutique for donating prizes! Congratulations to the winning photos!

Both were rescued, but Romeo (the gentle giant) was rescued from BRHS. He’s an energetic young pup who is about to turn 1! He brings so much love to our young family. We are forever greatful to BRHS for allowing us to give this pup his furever home!

This is Swen Aurora. One look from those pretty green eyes and my husband was smitten. Swen was up for adoption through BRHS, residing in the Hendersonville Petco. After seeing her the first time we made numerous visits throughout the following weeks hoping she had found a home, but she was always there. We just couldn't take it anymore. A phone call to the office confirmed no one else had expressed interest in her and she was on her way home with us later that afternoon. She completes our kitty family (and big brother thinks she is the funnest cat toy in the house).
