Blue Ridge Humane Society strives to bridge the gap to provide access to affordable preventative healthcare for pets.

Preventative care like vaccines, flea/tick and heartworm medication is essential to your pet’s health pets and decreases the chances of expensive veterinary bills. If you are a Henderson County resident needing over-the-counter flea and tick preventative, please feel free to complete this Pet Help Request Form.

1 Year Rabies Vaccination Appointments

We are now offering 1 year rabies vaccines by appointment. Appointments are required, and spots are limited. Once all appointments for a date are booked, the registration form will be taken down until the next clinic dates are released. Be sure to check back often for new openings or see additional resources for low-cost routine care below. Rabies vaccines are $15.

June Low-Cost Microchip Clinic Information

When: Monday, June 1st and Saturday, June 20th from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

The clinic will be offered at a low cost, while supplies last. Microchips will be given at $15 per pet.

Low-Cost Microchip Clinic – Protect Your Pet Before July
In honor of Pet Loss Awareness Month this July, we’re hosting a low-cost Microchip-Only Clinic to help keep your beloved pets safe and by your side. A microchip is a simple, permanent way to improve the chances of a lost pet being reunited with their family- especially during the high-risk summer months. Take this important step now and give yourself peace of mind before fireworks, vacations, and open doors make summer a risky time for pet loss.
Microchips will be given at $15 per pet.
No vaccines will be offered at this clinic, but we will have topical flea and tick prevention available for purchase at $12 a dose.

Our clinic operates on a first-come, first-served basis. You may be turned away if we have exceeded the number of clients we can serve. Dogs must be on leashes & cats must be in carriers. Please be patient while you and your pet(s) wait in your car.
