It is with a heavy heart that we write to you today. The Blue Ridge Humane Society team is heartbroken by the devastating loss of a loved one experienced by one of our coworkers.

Many in the community may have seen the news about the two missing hunters in Colorado whose lives were tragically lost. One of those men was the fiancé of our teammate, Bridget.

We are a close team, and when one of us experiences such a loss, it is felt deeply by us all. In this time of unimaginable grief, we want to make space for our staff to breathe, take care of themselves, and spend some extra time with their loved ones.
