Keep Your Pet Safe this Holiday Season

Happy November! It’s that time of year when we eat ’til our heart’s content and give thanks.
Our pets would like nothing more than to join in, but let’s show our pets how thankful we are to have them in our lives by keeping some safety tips in mind.
Guard the trash. There are quite a lot of delicious smells floating in the air on Thanksgiving. Pets will head right to the place that’s filled with the most smells and is ignored the most:  the trash! Since most Thanksgiving food is toxic to pets, keep your trash guarded.

Keep them occupied. Help keep your pet’s mind off the food with a toy or catnip.

Give them a treat they can eat. Avoid most holiday food but some items are safe and delicious for our furry friends: plain pumpkin, sweet potatoes, green beans, cranberry, carrots, and apples.
