A Good Samaritan found Possum tied in a grocery bag, and brought him to Western Carolina Regional Animal Hospital. We were sent a photo of Possum by a vet tech and couldn’t help but try to give him a second chance. He was weak, and unfortunately has an eye injury that prevents him from seeing out of his left eye. He also tested positive for FeLV.
Our shelter vet has decided to give him a loving home and we hope that he tests negative as he grows stronger! He is already bounding back. He’s making himself quite comfortable in his new home and getting stronger by the day. Little Possum is playing hard, napping hard, and has settled right in as he recuperates with Dr. Herron!
Possom’s story is one in the hundreds of stories we see just like his throughout the year. Please consider donating towards our medical fund so that we can continue providing second chances to others like Possom who need it most.
