Shelter Renovation Update As the Blue Ridge Humane Society undergoes renovation, our facility will be closed. Demolition began the first week of October and we hope to reopen in January after the New Year. If you need to contact the Humane Society you can continue calling our shelter line at 685-7107 and leave a message and we will call back ASAP. Or you can call us at our temporary offices at our thrift store at 692-2639. You can also get in touch with us via e-mail at brhsadopt@gmail.com Interested in Adopting a Dog: If you are interested in adopting a dog, please click on the “Adoptions” link on our website to view the dogs we have currently for adoption. Since our facility is closed, our available dogs are currently in foster homes. If you would like to schedule a meet and greet or would just like more information on our adoption process, please feel free to e-mail us at brhsadopt@gmail.com or call us at 692-2639 Tuesday-Saturday 9:30-4:30 Interested in Adopting a Cat: If you are interested in adopting a cat, you may scroll down our “Adoptions†link to see what cats are available for adoption. Most of our cats are in foster homes, but we have four cats at the Petco near the Walmart in Hendersonville and three younger cats at the Pet Source off of Spartanburg Hwy in Hendersonville. Need to Surrender a Pet/Stray: While we are closed we will not be able to accept any animals. If you have a stray, or need to re-home an animal, please call the Henderson County Shelter at 697-4723 or visit them at 828 Stoney Mountain Road. Have an Animal Emergency: If you have an animal related emergency please contact Animal Control at 697-4911 Have an Adopted Animal to Return: If you have adopted an animal from us need to return him/her, please contact us at brhsadopt@gmail.com or call us at 692-2639. Interested in Fostering an Animal: While we are closed, we will in need of foster homes for dogs and cats. If you are able to provide a safe space for a dog or cat during our renovation process please contact us at brhsadopt@gmail.com or call us at 692-2639.  Animals fostered through the humane society will go home with food, bedding, toys and bowls. We will also keep the animal up to date on vaccinations and other medical needs. We are excited to re-open our doors after the renovation is complete in January.
