Tinsel’s Happy Tail

Oscar Boone Papaw (FKA Tinsel) ended up at the county shelter during the holiday season in 2017. He was 16 years old, a heartbreaking age for a kitty to end up at an animal shelter. Luckily, we knew that there are some truly amazing people in this world and that it was worth a shot to step up for Tinsel. As soon as Tammy saw this sweet elderly kitty that needed a family, especially at Christmastime, she did not hesitate to make him part of the family. Papaw now happily shares a home with Tammy and several other animals, and is still a sprightly old man 18 years old! Even though Tammy knew when she took him home that her time with Papaw may be limited, she still said he “was the best Christmas present I could ask for.” We are so grateful for people like Tammy that see how much love older animals still have to give. Thank you Tammy, for being our hero, and Happy Tails sweet Papaw!
