Get Ready for Paws for a Purpose April 10th – 12th!

Paws for a Purpose is just around the corner and we’re inviting YOU to participate!

Paws for a Purpose is a signature fundraising weekend bringing together local businesses and individuals to raise awareness and funds to support our mission of ensuring the highest quality of life for animals in Henderson County and surrounding communities. This year’s event will be held Friday, April 10 through Sunday, April 12. 

 Over fifty unique fundraisers will be taking place throughout the weekend, with some events happening over the course of the week, or the full month of April. It’s easy to participate. Whether you’re grabbing a cup of coffee, heading out to eat, picking up garden supplies for the weekend, or going about your usual activities, consider stopping by one of these businesses to let them know you support them—and their support of us. “This signature fundraising event began six years ago as a way to bring the community together in support of our mission while celebrating the local businesses that make Henderson County such a special place,” said BRHS Executive Director Angela Prodrick. “As many of us continue to navigate the effects of rising costs, we recognize that even small acts of support can make a meaningful difference. A lot of littles truly do add up. By stopping by one of the participating businesses that promote animal advocacy, people can support local businesses while also helping the animals and families we serve. It’s a win-win.” 

“This year’s event has something for everyone,” Prodrick noted. “Many participating businesses are dog-friendly, so your four-legged friends can join in the fun as well.”
