Meet Remington!

A whitedog with short ears stands in the field with his long pink tongue hanging out of the right right of his mouth

Today’s Featured Pet is Remington!

Remington is breaking all sorts of stereotypes about senior dogs because this guy cannot get enough out of life! He would love to join you on hikes, fetch sessions, long walks on the beach…I mean whatever active you are looking to do…Remington wants to be right by your side! When he’s super excited he starts to spin in circles and loves giving out “hugs”. If that wasn’t adorable enough, he desperately wants to be a lap dog but we are trying to break it gently to him that some laps weren’t built for him.

Remington exudes friendliness and seems to be friendly towards other dogs but was originally found as a stray, so we have no idea what his previous home was like. He does chase tennis balls but prefers to have you toss them over so he can catch them. Once he has been tuckered out, he starts to belly crawl towards you. Remington loves affection, especially those good butt scratchin’s.

Since he is a beefier guy, he might be a little too playful for smaller kids but would probably love to lick anyone’s face. He is super treat motivated and would be great for someone looking for a dog to hang on the couch after hitting the trails. If you think that Remington is the dog for you, please consider applying to adopt him!
