Meet Elden!

We’re all big fans of housepanthers here at BHRS, and the lovely Elden is no exception. Elden ended up at our county shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any back story on his previous life, but we’ve been enjoying watching him come out of his shell! Good things DO come to those who wait, and after 6 weeks in our care Elden is just starting to show off his lovely personality; and during his stint as foster kitty at Business Adoption Ambassador Wild Birds Unlimited, has started to gain some much needed confidence.

A perfect kitty for a quiet home, Elden is shy and undemanding, but is bubbling with some serious lap cat and goofball potential. He reportedly enjoys “assisting” staff with administrative work, and has recently developed a love affair with the office computer’s fishy screen saver. Lately, he’s even been so bold as to hop up on laps for a brief cuddle before returning to his cozy bed. He has also been enjoying being gently held while the staff takes him on nice walks around the store.

We imagine an indoor home with lots of windows would be a dream come true for this gentle boy. If you have a heart for shy cats and enjoy the deep bond they so often create with their people, then we encourage you to visit with Elden! He doesn’t seem to mind other cats and should be fine with other peaceful felines. Since Elden has been in our care over two weeks, his adoption fee is discounted!
