Happy Foster Friday!

Little Peanut was barely a pound when she was brought into Henderson County by a Good Samaritan.

Covered in fleas and with a wound on her neck, little Peanut’s sweet personality still shone through strongly. Peanut is what we call a “babycat” because she’s an old soul, a very wise kitten who had clearly had already been a cat once in a previous life. Her foster mom Rhonda and her daughter Sam had signed up to foster kittens this spring, and offered to foster Peanut until she was big enough for a home. Although they had fostered other kittens this year, they soon realized that Peanut was truly special. She and Sam bonded strongly, with Peanut following her everywhere she went, and they decided that Peanut was already home – with them. We love when fostering allows animals and families to bond in such a special way, and we are so happy for Peanut and the Mountain family that such a strong love connection was made! They are so happy to have Peanut, and look forward to more foster kitties in the future. Thank you to the Mountains for fostering AND adopting, and congratulations to Peanut on your new family ❤️

If you would like to sign up to foster kittens, we are always in need (and no you don’t have to keep them!) so please fill out the quick form here to get started.
