Pants and Duchess’s Happy Tail
Today’s Double Happy Tail are Pants and Duchess!
Pants came to us as a funny looking kitty who had some trauma when she first arrived so she wasn’t in the best shape. Pants recouped while with us and slowly started growing her hair back! We don’t know what Pants’ life was like prior to arriving to us but were happy to provide a stop on her search for a new home. After being overlooked, perhaps because of her strange haircut, Betsy saw her and after meeting her, fell in love. Wanting two cats, Betsy also met Duchess, and two of our cats were adopted.
We’ve loved getting updates on how they’ve settled in and Betsy has carefully and slowly introduced them to each other. Betsy recently shared:
“I wanted to let you know that Pants (Trixie) and Duchess (Lovey) are doing so well. I love them both – they are so sweet. They are chasing each other around the house at this minute! It’s been at least a week since I heard a hiss, so they will occasionally bop each other on the head if one gets too close. Pants/Trixie at first seemed like she was menacing Duchess/Lovey, but I realized that she is curious and normally just wants to sniff her. Pants/Trixie always wants to play with her!
Pants/Trixie’s fur has come in nicely and it seems like she’s growing.
Duchess/Lovey goes crazy over the red dot. She tears through the house after it, slip sliding everywhere! On her return trip, Pants/Trixie will often jump on her because she wants to play. Lovey is so intent on the dot that this does not cause any reaction!
