Foster Friday: A Plea for Help

We’ve got a plea for help this Foster Friday!

This kitten season has been INTENSE, most likely due to the months of COVID-19 shutdown where spay/neuter services were not available. We had 79 kittens in foster care in October – the highest number we’ve had in the program at one time. Our current fosters are still FULL  of kittens and more continue to pour through the doors at our county facility. In order to keep saving lives, we need the help of our community –  we need you to foster kittens!

Fostering is totally free – we provide all the supplies you’ll need. Fostering is fun – although it can be a lot of work, fosters find the experience incredibly rewarding. Fostering doesn’t take a of room in your home – a spare bathroom is all you need, or if you don’t have one, we can provide you a pop up playpen that works perfectly – it’s still more space than a cage! Without fosters, we wouldn’t be able kittens like Penelope, Derek, Emily and Spencer here, who are in need of a foster home right now. Whether you want to foster older, more independent kittens like these, or the the teeny bottle babies, we will work with you to find a foster scenario that works for your household and lifestyle. Please, if you have ever thought about fostering kittens but weren’t sure if it was the right time, we want to hear from you! Our orientation process is painless and completely online, and you’ll learn everything you’ll need to know about caring for kittens.

To get started, please fill out the quick form here, and we will follow up with you with next steps to coming on board as a foster.
